Clinical Aesthetician: Jeannine Stevens, L.E.

Jeannine’s comprehensive experience includes 23 years as Head of Education at the Barbizon School of Modeling, 9 years as a Make-up Artist and Special Advisor for the preliminaries of the Miss America Pageant and past director of Public Relations on the American Academy of Medical Aesthetics.

In 1977, Ms. Stevens was among the first licensed aestheticians in Maryland. Jeannine Stevens began her professional aesthetic career training under plastic surgeons and joining the clinical pioneers in implementing “cosmeceutical” products, acid peels and skincare in a medical environment. Working with the physicians and nurses, she participated in developing protocols for post-operative wound care for the face and body.

She continued further training under Dr. Obagi and was hired as a Product Trainer, traveling to medical practices, teaching the application of the Blue Peel and incorporating the use of pharmaceutical grade ingredients. Jeannine Stevens’ years of “evidence based experience” has made her a specialist in skin rejuvenation.

Her ethical standards and commitment to patient satisfaction is her incentive to never giving up her quest for more knowledge through continuing her education.

Jeannine Stevens is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, The Society of Cosmetic Chemists and the organization of the Facial Plastic Surgery Assistants.

Licensed in the state of Maryland, Susan has been dedicated to providing patients with exemplary service and care in skin health for over 14 years. Her specialty is to craft a regimen that addresses individual skin care needs with visible results! Additionally, Susan is a professional make-up artist and also trained in eyebrow and eyelash tinting. In an industry that is emerging, she is an advocate for continuing education and is also a member of the organization of the Facial Plastic Surgery Assistants.

Registered Nurse in Baltimore, MDMelanie Rubin R.N.- ASC Manager

The Ambulatory Surgery Center manager at Facial Plastic Surgicenter LTD, in Baltimore, Maryland. She has been associated with the practice for 22 years, managing all facets of nursing and administrative duties including pre- and post-operative patient teaching and perioperative nursing roles. Additionally, Melanie oversees the daily operation of the Surgicenter, including maintainence of equipment and supply management.

Melanie is ACLS/BLS certified, as well as a member of AORN and OFPSA. She is a licensed aesthetician.

Melanie is married with three children and resides in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Kitsie Michel, R.N.

Graduated from University of Maryland @ Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1985. She brings 23 plus years of OR experience to FPSC. Kitsie feels that a good OR experience starts with good patient communication and educating the patients about upcoming procedures and the expected outcomes.

Colleen Epp, OR Tech

Colleen has been a part of Facial Plastic Surgicenter surgical team since 2007. Colleen process the instruments, prepare the operating room for upcoming surgery’s and also does administrative work for the OR. You can see Colleen through out the office as she is a well rounded team member here at FPSC.

Medical Assistant in Baltimore, MDKaren Toomey, M.A.

Karen has been working in the cosmetic industry since 1992. Originally trained in the specialty of hair restoration, she expanded her knowledge and joined FPSC in 2011. Her vast knowledge of facial injectable treatments enables her to educate the patients and assist the physicians. Karen is a trained medical assistant and certified in Basic Life Support. You may find Karen floating about anywhere around the office from greeting patients at check-in to assisting in a hair transplant, to assisting with post-operative care.

Graduated from Montgomery College School of Nursing in 1976. Practiced nursing in all areas except ER in hospitals for over 30 years. In 2010 she started working with Cosmetic Lasers to provide different, non- traditional, services to help patients with cosmetic issues on their skin. Certified for Cutera, Candela Gentle Max & VBeam, Lutronic Infini and Viora lasers. Member of ASLM (American Society for Laser Medicine).

Graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1983. Worked at Johns Hopkins pediatric oncology for several year then went to Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital. Debbie joined Facial Plastic Surgicenter in 2014 to help patients that chose to have elective services in a happy setting.
